ABSTRACT:
The education of the teachers should be constantly adapted to the development of technology so as to prepare the teacher for the current classroom situation. Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are innovative technologies used in the field of teacher training which help bridge the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge. Teachers are able to create a virtual classroom, deal with problems in the field of teaching and improve the quality of lesson preparation through creating a secure environment. The influence of VR and AR in pre-service education, teacher education and the advancement of critical teaching strategies as well as inclusive education is discussed in this paper. At the same time, AR helps foster opportunities for interactive learning, delivery of course content and development of effective lessons, giving both educators and students tangible forms of abstract ideas. Both technologies have great potential; however, there are certain factors that prevent their adoption and implementation by the majority of people because of the high price tag, absence of technical equipment, worries about literacy, and ethical considerations. This study focuses on policy suggestions, case studies, and best practices that could be helpful in paving the way for integrating immersion technology into teacher preparation. In addition, around the world institutions implement pilot projects for teaching teachers how to use VR as an educational tool and develop strategies aimed at making VR accessible in the context of enhancing the impact of this technology all over the world. Therefore, the future success in designing VR/AR tools that will benefit the process of teaching in terms of being pedagogically sound and scalable will depend on the cooperation of representatives from different fields. In addition to this, the article also recommends conducting further research to establish how virtual reality and augmented reality affects other areas of education like teacher readiness, student achievements, as well as the issues related to ethics and the use of data. The acceptance of VR and AR will make teacher preparation more forward-looking, lively, and engaging. Through the adoption of proper policies and investments, these technologies could be used to transform teacher preparation. teacher preparation and prepare them for the technologically rich, fast-changing classrooms of the future.
