The journal of Ravishankar university Part-A [Social Science], publishes research aspects which are novel areas of research in Social Science. Reviewers play vital and significant role in increasing the scientific content and setting the high standards of a journal. Review policy of Journal of Ravishankar University Part-A Social Science follows peer review process before publishing any article following are the procedures involved.
Manuscript assessment:
After the submission of manuscript to the editorial board, the preliminary assessment of manuscript is done by the editorial team. In general, the manuscript are rejected on this stage, if the content of manuscript is not within the scope of JRU or have some major scientific drawbacks and are constructed poorly in context to grammar and languages. If there is possibility, that these parameters are found to meet the criteria of JRU then, these are sent to reviewers for the review process. Journal of Ravishankar University , selects the reviewers who are one of the leading scientists of the nation and have sound scientific knowledge in their field. Manuscripts are sent to atleast two reviewers to review in the prescribed format provided by JRU. Both the reviewer and author remain anonymous during the assessment.
Reviewer selection:
Reviewers are selected by the JRU editorial team, having an expertise in the relevant field. JRU has an updated database for reviewing the papers.
Points to be reviewed:
- General comment: The MS is prepared remarkably well or not , is methodologically appropriate? Is the work done has some novelty.
- Results and Discussions: Appropriately relevant with the objectives or not discussions which are presented meets the conclusions or not.
- Reference style: Are the references as per in format as described under journal’s guidelines? Having a citations of previously work done.
- Time: the reviewers are given three weeks to one month time to review the manuscripts.
Ethics Policy:
The publication of an article is done by peer-reviewing the papers in JRU. It is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It reflects the quality of work of the author and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behaviour.
Authorship of the paper:
Those who have worked significantly and have originally contributed to the work should be given authorship
Plagiarism:
The original work of author should be presented. The JRU strictly rejects the articles which has some copied sources or not given appropriate references. The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works. Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication: An author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication.
Reporting standards: Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance.
Use of Animal or Animal related scientific processes: proper consent should be taken prior to performing and reporting the experiments.
Publication Policy:
Those manuscripts or work which falls under the scope of Journal of Ravishankar University, are welcomed to be published . Preferences are given to those papers which reflects high scientific content, or novel aspects of research. It also publishes, invited Reviews by authored by the distinguished scientists of the subject. Submission of articles are done electronically through the e mailing process. The through email the communication between editors, reviewers, and authors, makes the editorial process fast and transparent.
Review process:
After the completion of review of manuscripts, the suggestions or comments or approval of manuscripts are sent to editorial team of JRU by the concerned reviewer, in the prescribed format. The review process filters the contents of manuscript and delivers the good content of manuscript. A reviewer is asked to evaluate whether the manuscript is scientifically sound, original, relevant, clear, whether it correctly references previous work, and whether it falls within the scope of the journal.
Final Decision:
After the suggestion of Reviewers, the editorial board accepts or rejects the paper. Upon the acceptance, the publishing process takes one month time and the volume and numbers are generated which get displayed on the website of Ravishankar University.
