Abstract: The study was designed to investigate emotional intelligence related to
leadership of student teachers. Researcher used descriptive survey type of
research design. A total of 900 students purposively selected from college of
education participated in the study. Two inventories, Student-teachers
emotional intelligence inventory (Anukool Hyde, Sanjyot pethe and Upinder
Dhar), it’s reliability is.88 and validity.93. and Leadership behavior scale of
Dr. Asha Hinger were used for data collection. The reliability of this scale is
0.69 and validity is 0.49. Correlation was the major statistical tool used for
data analysis. Findings from the study revealed that there is no significant
relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership of student teachers
of different colleges of education i.e. private granted and private non-granted
colleges of education. There is positive relationship of EI and Leadership of
student teachers of government colleges of education.
