Abstract: Due to the rarity of the authentic sources, of the late Kalachuri period, the study of these temples play a very important and a vital role to fill the historical gap in cultural and art history of Chhattisgarh. As the temples of the late Kalachuris show a clear degeneration  in art and architecture;   but it does not suggests decline in the social condition and religious belief. The present paper is an attempt to summaries the salient details one might look for in respect of the temples of late Kalachuri period. We have tried to recapitulate the answers to our original points of inquiry, diffused in this paper, by way of focusing on what is significant in terms of findings and outcome. The excellent  and marvelous monuments of Sahaspur, Kawardha, Palari (Durg district),  Finqeswar, Khallari,  Naqpura  Gandai, Deurbija, Baled, Khapri & Dhamdha of Chhattisgarh encourage  me and even paved the way for this study.
