Abstract: In the present study an
attempt bas been made to find out the
productivity of educational expenditure
of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. To measure the productivity of education
simple linear regression technique has been used. The result of the study shows
57.0 percent contribution to the growth of State per capita income. To increase
the educational productivity in the State it is suggested that greater investment on education should be devoted for the improvement in the quality of education. The Government should
invest in the field of higher education of the State where no private
initiative is forthcoming
